Shelter and picnic area

The land at Green Lane off the Parish Church car park is being developed to provide a useful community place.   Following a survey of the village by the Residents Association on behalf of the Parish Council it was recognised that there was a need for a shelter and picnic area for village residents young and old to make use of.   The Residents Association was involved with completion of grant applications which were successful.  A shelter called a Smoka Kota has been constructed, treated with fire retardant, protection against wet rot and anti-graffiti paint.  The ground work  has been carried out, turfing completed and picnic benches and waste bins are installed.  The Parish Council is arranging an opening event details of which will be posted on the Parish Council, SERA and St Erth websites.
