SERA - St Erth Residents Association

How we Started

Welcome

We had our first inaugural meeting on 11th August 2005, following a public discussion called by our soon-to be Chairman, Andy Jones, at the Old School Rooms.

A good turn-out at the public meeting led to discussions on the need to replace a play area that had been removed from Vicarage Gate Fields. As a result St Erth Residents Association, SERA, was formed in the summer of 2005 and has been active ever since.

We are properly constituted and operate through a committee with a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer, meeting as needs require but at least quarterly. Membership is open to any resident of St Erth including children and is free. We aim to represent all residents and thus the more members that we have the easier it is for us to know their needs.

Projects identified at that time :-

Playing Field at Vicarage Gate
Local Bus Service
Footpaths
BMX Track (to replace one that had been demolished)
Youth Clubs
Skate area

Finally, we do have vacancies on our committee. Should you feel a desire to help this lovely village please do contact us by email at sera@st-erth.co.uk or phone our secretary, Sheila, on 01736 710232.
