Projects Completed

  • Two benches have been installed along the bank of the river which it is hoped will be enjoyed by the people of St Erth and visitors to the area for many years to come.

  • Vicarage Gate Playing Field is now operational with activity equipment, chosen by the children themselves. We obtained a grant to facilitate the purchase of the equipment needed.  This area is now in active use.

  • One or more of our committee members attends the local  Parish Council meetings at the Vestry Room above the Memorial Room to keep informed on village activities.

We have also partially redecorated the toilets at the Memorial Hall following receipt of a complaint.

  • We have assisted the Parish Council in the setting up of allotments in the field adjacent to Vicarage Gate Fields.

  • We have secured the placing of extra bins for the disposal of dog excrement. We would ask all dog walkers to place their plastic bags with contents into the bins provided and not throw them into the hedges.

  • Various schemes have been offered so far to our village to build Affordable Homes here. Whilst we are in favour of helping our young  people and those who do not have their own home we have objected to the schemes that have been offered as they would not have been of benefit to our village.      * Stop Press! *
